I am very excited to see these guys in London.

Street Style

In the middle of the wonderful Glasgow heatwave I went out with my friend Jen
to take some street style images for a project I am doing for Urban Outfitters.
At first it took us a while to get started. I think in Scotland we are so unprepared
for warm, sunny weather that sometimes it can take a few days of adjusting
to the heat and some frantic shopping trips to get it right.

These were all taken in Kelvingrove Park. It was interesting to see different people's
reactions to being stopped because two strangers think they look good. I have been stopped
before and I am always immediately embarrassed but afterwards feel very touched and a
little more confident. All these people were very pleasant and up for posing in the park.

Fennesz

One of my friends said I should go and see Fennesz at Field Day. I hadn't heard of him.
I really like it. It's pretty chilled compared to the rest of the people I will see on
Saturday, I reckon it may be a welcomed sound.

The Old Hairdressers

Last night was one of those lovely unexpected nights. I had planned to meet two good friends
for drinks and dinner which was a really nice night and would have been more than enough to
keep me happy. I then heard from a friend about a night at The Old Hairdressers so I went
along. Special Hits, Cru Servers, Female Band, World Peace and Magic Eye were all playing.
It was also free which was nice. I had never been into the space upstairs at The Hairdressers,
I think it is incredible. It reminds me of a Brooklyn venue, raw and industrial but very
cool.

The bands were all really good and everyone seemed to really enjoy it. I love Glasgow for nights
like last night. There is always something going on and there are a very dedicated group of people
always willing and up for supporting these nights.

Com Truise

I was only introduced to Com Truise a couple of weeks ago
and I am hooked. I cannot wait to see him at Field Day.

Sunglasses

I want a new pair of sunglasses for my trip. I cannot afford expensive ones,
or any at all actually but I will buy some anyway. Here are my options.

Field Day

I am going to Field Day festival next week. I am mega excited. The line up is completely incredible.
Every day this week I am going to post a video from each artist I am most looking forward to seeing.
I have never seen Rustie play live so this is probably top of my list.

Street Style

I think that sometimes street style images are more interesting in the winter time.
People have more on and there are generally more accessories and layers. However a little more
skin is always nice to see,I have found a few here that I like. They also inspire me a little
as I am currently questioning whether it is okay to wear my leather skirt without tights. I think
this girl looks great but there is always that risk of looking a little provocative and cheap. I
am also preparing to brave the old socks with sandals look. I love it on other people but again it
can go so wrong. I think it really helps to people watch and look at blogs for inspiration. I do
it all the time and it really helps encourage me to dress differently and be a little more confident.

Superclub

On Thursday I went to the Superclub night in Edinburgh. It was amazing.
It had been a really hot day so everyone was in good spirits and generally
up for having fun. My friend Matt has been doing illustrations on the walls
inide Sneaky Petes. This was the first time I had seen it properly and I was
really taken with it. He is still in the process of finishing the second wall,
so I am very excited to see the end result.

Dam Mantle was incredible. It is the first time I have seen him play in a while
and I loved it. So did everyone else, I think everyone was dancing for the whole
set. Tom (Dam Mantle) also did visuals for the night which were great.
I had a very, very good time.

Nadia Scullion

My friend Nadia Scullion is a Fashion designer. This is her last range, which I love.
She has a new collection that I am very excited to see. When I go to London next week
I am going to be modelling some of it. I am very excited about this. I will try to take
some photos of what I'm sure will be a very fun and interesting day.

Urban Outfitters Summer Catalogue

Good Press // Modern Masters

Events like this one make me love living in Glasgow. Good Press Gallery presents visual art,
contemporary illustration, self and independently published zines and books. It is one of my
favourite places to go to and browse. The gallery is based in Mono, which is a lovely bar and
general hang out space. Modern Masters is a group show of original works on paper from both UK
and International artists. As well as this, there will be live music from Cru Servers, Ben
Butler & Mousepad and Tonstartssbandht. I am really looking forward to this mid week treat.
