Yesterday I bought these shoes. I love them, I have thought about
getting Brothel Creepers for a while but always been unsure. I prefer
these as they are a little slimmer and less clumpy. I am very excited
to wear them today.

A Clean Slate
Vogue says - 'Skilful layering, proportion play and bold displays
of colour (note the new bi- and tri-colour accessories) bring a
youthful, sporty, spin to classic seperates. In a first look at
Autumn, here's how to dress now'.
It is not often that I take the time to scan images from a magazine
onto my computer. It needs to be something really amazing. I think
this shoot is very special. The model Suvi Koponen is Finnish and
absolutely gorgeous. I like simple beauty, I love women that wear
hardly any make up and just throw their hair up, like in this shoot,
and look incredibly sexy. I find it much more attractive than someone
who is overly preened.
The shoot involves a lot of bold colours, structure and oversized clothing.
I saw a lot of women dressing like this in Stockholm, very simply but
with great attention to detail. I like this sort of style and will
enjoy embracing it in cooler months.

Cos Sale
It is a dangerous time again, Cos have a sale. Cos are
different for other stores, their reductions are actually
significant and their sale is tidy. I want to look through
everything because it is neat and orderly.
Here are a few things I would like. I have tried on the
White blouse and the Blue sleeveless blazer and loved them
so they are likely purchases. I also love the black dress.
I don't own a 'little black dress'. Part of this is because
my Mum hates black, she associates it with hoards of people
going to work in offices everyday and only ever wearing black.
To her, it is boring. I know what she means but sometimes black
is pretty amazing. I associate a black dress like this one with
a date. It is the perfect date dress. I know it would be
comfortable and although it has a little gap on the back, which
I usually hate, I think it is pretty subtle and still very 'Cos'.

Jonathan Saunders
Jonathan Saunders has created something really wonderful
with his Spring/Summer 2013 range. It is so different from
anything else, which is refreshing. It's the reason it jumped
out at me while looking through lots of images from Fashion week.
This range was inspired by Hungarian-French Optical Art pioneer
Victor Vasarely. The prints are geometric and the colours bold.
Also inspiring Saunders was 'The Thin White Duke', David Bowie's
persona for some time in the 70s. David Bowie was very thin, always
wore a tailored, crisp three piece suit and had swept back, blonde hair.
I can tell that the styling of this collection has been influenced greatly
by this character.

RACHEL COMEY RESORT 2013
I really love the shoot for Rachel Comey's 2013 Resort Range.
I love the lapis blue backdrop and the lighting. It is so simple
and really allows you to focus on the garments. The blue works so
well with the leather and denim, which pop up a lot throughout
the collection.

Blondes
I went to see Blondes the other night in Edinburgh, after already seeing them at the
Berkeley Suite in Glasgow in April. Its not very often I go to see an artist twice in
quick concession but I really feel so strongly about these guys I just couldn't resist.
I hadn't heard anything quite like them before, they manage to fullfil a lot of my
musical needs which is quite satisfying.
Blondes are made up of two New Yorkers. Zach Steinman and Sam Haar. They make
electronic music, their tracks are long and drawn out but somehow leave you wanting
even more. I think they tease, but it works so well as the slow build up to that incredible
climax of the tune is still just so, so enjoyable.

Rosie Huntington Whiteley
This is Rosie Huntington-Whiteley by Kimi Hammerstroem. It is very
stripped back and seems like the shoot was a little spontaneous, which
it probably wasn't but I love it anyway.

Modern Masters // Good Press
A few weeks ago I went along to Mono where Good Press gallery put on a
group show of original works on paper from both UK and International artists.
The way the work was displayed was perfect. It was all grouped together tightly
with only a few centimetres between each piece. I think having such
contrasting, clashing artworks placed so closely together worked really well.
It definitely made me examine each one more thoroughly.
After a couple of hours of being able to take in the exhibition a few tables
were moved and suddenly a perfect space appeared for night of music. Cru Servers,
Ben Butler & Mousepad and Tonstartssbandht all played. They were all very
different but all excellent and very appropriate to the night. I danced a
little and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I would like more nights like this.
