JOHN MAUS

We Must Become Pitiless Censors Of Ourselves is the last album from John Maus.
It is, by far, one the best albums I have heard. I am a little obsessed at the
moment.

John Maus is 33 and is from Minnesota. He has played keyboard for Animal Collective,
Panda Bear and Ariel Pink, all who I adore. John Maus doesn't sound like any of
them though, he has a sound unlike anything I have heard. There is a huge eighties feel
to his music and along with the use of synthesisers and drum machines he creates something
rather wild. The wonderful thing about the last album is how diverse it is. One track can
be a pretty banging synth-pop gem and the next is hauntingly beautiful.

NEED SUPPLY

Here are some of lovely summery pieces from Need Supply.

SIRIUSMO

I have started listening to Siriusmo recently. He is a German music producer based in Berlin.
This track is incredible, especially if you turn it up real loud.

RICHARD NICOLL

London designer Richard Nicoll has produced an incredible collection
for Autumn/Winter 2013. Combining PVC and pastels he creates a very
sexy yet elegant show.

TRAVESS SMALLEY

Here are some amazing shirts from New York based artist, Travess Smalley.
I saw his exhibition in Glasgow a few months ago, it was amazing. I have
since learned that he uses his designs on clothes.

JF & SON is a company based in Manhattan that stock local artists designs.
You can buy Travess Smalley's stuff from them.

These Men's summer shirts are incredible. They are so unusual and look incredibly
well made.

MULBERRY // AUTUMN // WINTER //2013

Here my favourite looks form the Mulberry show at London Fashion week.
I am big fan of the delicate floral prints. I also love the layering and that
 beautiful shade of pink.

KRAFTWERK

KINFOLK

My friend recently told me about Kinfolk magazine. She was given one at Christmas so I had a
look. It is one of the most beautiful magazines I have ever read. It is actually more like a
book than a magazine. The print quality is of a very high standard and it is printed on beautiful
paper. I plan to buy one next week in this amazing magazine shop in Stockholm.

Here is what Kinfolk say about themselves;

Kinfolk caters to a growing readership of young artists and food enthusiasts by focusing on
simple ways to spend time together. Each issue combines lyrical essays, recipes, interviews,
personal stories and practical tips with a keen attention to design and details.
Readers look to Kinfolk as a trusted resource for both enticing and meaningful
activities - whether it's a new cooking skill, road trip route, or camping guide,
Kinfolk is a blueprint for a balanced, intentional lifestyle.
