Vogue Russia September 2012

I LOVE this shoot. I am a huge fan of masculine styling
and this has been done so well. The model Kasia Struss
is also incredible looking.

I saw Blue Hawaii this time last year, in New York.
It is the same girl who sings in Braids, who I also

Blue Hawaii

Plum, peach, burnt orange, pale pink and mustard
were out on force at the Acne Autumn/Winter show.
As were wide waist belts and oversized coats creating
amazing angular and rounded shapes.

I like that the models make up and hair is all very
minimalist and understated allowing you to solely focus
on the designs.

Uttu is an Istanbul Label. I discovered it through the wonderful
blog, Cali Vintage. Uttu grew from clothes Gokce Cibic used to make
for her dolls with left over lace her mother had. She then went on to
study Architecture and Fashion Design which then lead to starting
her own label, Uttu. All Uttu garments are designed and sewn in Istanbul.

I really love the pieces. They are very simple with delicate details that
make them stand out. It is all very reasonably priced. I think I may treat
myself to one of the beautiful dresses or blouses, all with prefect Peter
Pan Collars.

This is the fall/winter campaign for Orla Kiely.
It is very sixties inspired and I love it. The pinafores
and short coats have been styled beautifully with white
tights and vintage looking low heels. I love the images
taken in what looks like a church hall. So many church halls
look like this, almost like they haven't been touched for
40 years. It works very well with Orla's new range, letting me
believe these are genuine images from the sixties.
